Rye House Kart Raceway - Jenson Cup - Round 9

So we are back for Round 9 of the Jenson Cup and the closing 2 rounds of the Championship.

I was leading the Quali session all the way through, until the last lap when I was pipped to the post by Matteo, so I was starting P2 on the grid. Normally I would say that I'd lose out on places being on the outside but the track was so wet and being on the outside was actually an advantage as it was grippier.

We all lined up on the start and I actually got a better start than Matteo so I took the lead straight away. We both raced incredibly sensibly and pulled a gap to the following pack before we started to battle for the win. Some great battles ensued and the lead was exchanged on multiple occasions but in the end I took the win and also claimed the fastest lap.

This has now seen me extend the Championship lead to 23 points clear with the final round to go in December.
