Rye House Kart Raceway - Jenson Cup - Round 6

We are back at Rye House for Round 6 of the Jenson Cup and what an evening is was! As usual the evening started out with the standard 15 minute Quali session which decided thegrid for the race.

I had an OK Quali but the best that I could manage was P3, the track was a bit wet, so I was hoping that being heavier this would help me out in the race as it is beneficial to be heavier in the wet.

I had a great start and moved straight into P2 off of the line and followed the pole sitter round for a few laps to establish what he was doing & to find out his strengths and weaknesses and where would be my best opportunities to attack.

As the race unfolded I made my way through to the front to lead the race and exchanged places on a few occasions with Matteo as he had a quicker straightline pace than me but in the end secured the win which ended up being a very soggy race indeed by the end of it, but it was great fun, I just love those conditions.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Round 7 brings next month.
