Brentwood Karting Race League - Season 9 - Round 12

Here we go, Round 12 and my FINAL competitive Cadet Race, it's the end of an era and was hoping to finish on a high.

The conditions were still a little tricky but I managed to secure the pole position for Heat 1 again by 0.757 and knew that if I could secure the Heat win then the Championship would be mine again to make it 3 consecutive Championships. The heat was pretty straight forward from the front of the grid and I went onto win the heat by 11.887 seconds.

Heat 2 was up next and I was starting P10 on the grid. I made my way really quickly through the pack again and was making a move to go into P2 and was pushed into a barrier where I was stranded and dropped down the order into P9. By the time I got back onto the track the clock was ticking down and the best result that I could manage was P6.

Due to the 2nd heat result I was expecting to start in the B Final as I also had a grid penalty but was actually P8 in the A Final, so still all to play for. I got a really good start and made up some initial places and was quickly into P2 and challenging for the lead, once I was in the lead, P2 and P3 were battling which managed to give me some breathing space and I won my final cadet race by 1.795 seconds, what a way to finish the Championship, a Heat Win and A Final win!
